Pronal designs and manufactures flexible elastomer tanks for civil and military aeroplane and helicopter constructors.
The materials used comply principally with the standards of type TSO-C80 and MIL-DTL-27422C for self-sealing and anti-crash versions.
These tanks with sometimes complex shapes have the particularity of being manufactured by high temperature vacuum vulcanisation in a single operation. This ensures the production of 100% homogeneous products and a monoblock type design, significant advantages for high resistance products with a potential service life greater than 15 years.

Pronal has been certified ISO 9001 Version 2000 since 2004 and has obtained production and maintenance approvals: PART 21 G and PART 145 from the DGAC.

Airports

In case of incidents on medium- to long-haul airport runways, airport safety services use apply the following techniques:
- lifting all types of aircraft by means of pneumatic cushions. The latter comprise several compartments which are individually inflated to ensure perfect stability and provide precise and absolutely safe lifting.
- defuelling of the equipment by deploying flexible tanks on the ground close to the equipment to recover the kerosene via a pump unit, this is a temporary solution, which can be easily implemented in case of an emergency.
All these processes ensure that infrastructures can be rapidly freed up.
