Lifting columns were then used.<\/p>\n<p>The new bus lifting system would then have to be<span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"> easy-to-use<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">fast-to-deploy<\/span> to switch to the next vehicles quickly. Further technical constraints had to be met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a distance of <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">200 mm<\/span> between the ground and the bus frame,<\/li>\n<li>lifting height of <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">50 mm<\/span>,<\/li>\n<li>lifting weight of <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">2 T on the front part<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">4T on the rear part of the bus<\/span>,<\/li>\n<li>and a little contact surface of <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">400x50mm<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The contact surface is even reduced for the rear wheels, owing to a damper. The dimensions of the lifting system would thus have to meet those constraints. Iveco bus then chose <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">a flexible<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">inflatable solution<\/span> to lift its buses: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><a style=\"color: #00a7e1; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/product-category\/lifting-cushions\/\">the pneumatic lifting cushion<\/a><\/span><\/span>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10063&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;right-to-left&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Pronal solution: pneumatic cushion for bus lifting<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After analysis of customer&#8217;s needs and requests, Pronal supplied a<span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"> full inflatable system for bus lifting<\/span>, composed of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/product\/lifting-cushions\/clt-lifting-cushions\/\"><span style=\"color: #00a7e1; text-decoration: underline;\">1 lifting cushion CLT 10T<\/span><\/a><\/span> for rear wheels,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">1 lifting cushion CLT 34 T<\/span> for top wheels,<\/li>\n<li>1 control panel with &#8220;push-button&#8221;, ejector and pressure gauge,<\/li>\n<li>and <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">1 inflation hose lg.5m<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Placed in front of the wheel, the CLT 43 cushion, once air-inflated, quicky lifts the bus without any frame deformation. <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">In less than 30 seconds, the vehicle is lifted<\/span> and the ABS-systems then tested. Remote air inflation keeps the operator safe. Moreover, the bus remains stable once lifted, thanks to the cushion&#8217;s non-slip fabric and flat surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>Our CLT10 cushion being too small for the real wheels with dampers, stroke has to be reduced. Iveco&#8217;s idea: <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">the combination of a trolley<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">the cushion to reduce the stroke<\/span>. He set the control panel on the trolley&#8217;s grip so as to inflate easily the lifting system. The trolley was placed under the frame and then the cushion did the job.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10048&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;bottom-to-top&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10053&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;bottom-to-top&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;left-to-right&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Advantages and conclusion<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">Light<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">easy to handle<\/span>, the lifting cushions met customer&#8217;s expectations in terms of easy and quick solutions.
