In fact, their main activities is the chartering of vessels, especially catamarans dedicated to tourism. They have to carry out several maintenance operations throughout the year on their boats to extend their life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim being to test all the accessories, the operators must access the underside of the boat to reach the propeller. Thus, <strong>a lifting system is needed to facilitate maintenance on the underside of the vessel<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To overcome this problem, the company uses <strong>dry docks or cranes, which are very expensive<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, this type of maintenance prolongs the maintenance time, preventing the boat rental for several days and subsequently causing significant financial losses for the company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, seeing their loss of time and money to access the lower part of the ship, it was necessary to find a new lifting solution. Furthermore, as the summer season approaches, the boat rental company needs <strong>a<\/strong> <strong>quick and efficient solution to reach the propeller<\/strong> without using a complete lifting solution. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This solution had to be:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Simple et quick to use to reduce the maintenance time,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Appropriate to each rental boat (weight, height, etc.),<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Resistant,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Flexible to not damage and deteriorate the hull,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>And adjusted to the center of gravity to prevent the toppling of the boat.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13322&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;top-to-bottom&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13302&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;top-to-bottom&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;left-to-right&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><b>RDF underwater lifting units: Pronal solution<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rental company turned to Pronal to provide a surface buoyancy solution: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/product\/lifting-units\/rdf-lifting-units\/\">an RDF lifting unit<\/a>. We produced an RDF with the following features:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Diameter: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 600 mm,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Length:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 6 100 mm,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Materials: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PVC \/ PU \/ or Nitrile coated fabric,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Capacity:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 32, 000 L,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Inflation: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">air,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Lifting capacity: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8 tons,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Inflation pressure: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">0.083 bar maximum,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Temperature resistance:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coated fabric <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0PVC -20C\u00b0\/+50C\u00b0,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coated fabric PU <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-25C\u00b0 \/ +100C\u00b0,<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Accessory:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> an inflation line.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13327&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;top-to-bottom&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;13317&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;top-to-bottom&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;right-to-left&#8221;]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slide under the catamaran, the RDF lifting unit is inflated with a compressor. <strong>Once inflated, it can lift a load of up to 8 tons<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taking into account the ship\u2019s center of gravity, it keeps <strong>the catamaran on the surface without tipping<\/strong>. This allows the operator to carry out maintenance and <\/span>boat lifting<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on site safely and quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/projects\/refloat-a-boat-with-inflatable-lifting-systems\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lifting unit is also useful for vessels that are losing buoyancy. <\/span><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;left-to-right&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">Conclusion<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lifting equipment has met all the expectations of the Fethiye dockyard.
