According to Earthwake Entrerpise, we will triple the amount of waste by 2040. Therefore, there is a big threat for the ecosystem. Indeed, in the sea, the plastic is decomposing and is found in the marine food chain.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, the founders of Earthwake ask themselves an important question <\/span><b>: How can we give value to plastic waste ?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They started their research and found a solution: pyrolysis which transforms plastic that can not be recycled into<\/span><b> its original state<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: oil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To do this, they created an production unit called Chrysalis, composed of 4 containers:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shredding and storage of plastic\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pyrolysis of the shredded material and control supervision\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Storage of utilities including pyrolysis gas\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stabilization of the produced gas oil (used, among other things, to feed the trucks intended for the waste collection)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only one problem was left to solve: <\/span><b>How can we store pyrolysis gas ?<\/b>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;19319&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>Our solution: the Gas Holder Balloon<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, Earthwake Entreprise called in Pronal for the storage of the gas? They needed a waterproof and flexible solution that we could put inside of a container.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inspired<\/span><b> by the design of our <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/product-category\/compensators\/\"><b>compensators<\/b><\/a><b>, we added our know-how in fuel storage<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/product\/flexible-storage-tanks\/flexible-fuel-tanks\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(fuel bladder)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which asks for a lot of waterproofness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is how the gas buffer was created: an elastomer solution with a specific surface to <\/span><b>increase the waterproofness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the product. This enables the storage of specific gasses such as <\/span><b>CH4, CO2 and Hydrogen.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gas which comes from the pyrolysis is therefore stored in a close circus in this gas buffer. Then, it is re-injected into the bruner for the heating of the reactor of the pyrolysis.
