This system had to be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>reliable<\/strong><\/span>, to last as long as possible<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>reusable<\/strong><\/span>, to be economically competitive<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>food grade compliant<\/strong><\/span>, so as not to alter the quality of the wine,<\/li>\n<li>and <strong><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">tailor-made<\/span><\/strong>, to adapt to any type of tank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2013, the company used flexible air-inflated cubitainers to compensate the lack of wine in one of their tanks. This principle then gives them the idea of \u200b\u200busing <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>inflatable compensators<\/strong><\/span>. Luckily, by searching the internet and at trade shows, they found PRONAL.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;8882&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;top-to-bottom&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=&#8221;right-to-left&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>The solution, the inflatable compensator<\/h3>\n<p>The company then approached Pronal, for the production of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pronal.com\/en\/product\/compensators\/exp-inflatable-separators\/\"><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>inflatable compensators<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, also called <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>wine-making balloons<\/strong><\/span>. With this new winemaking system, the winemakers can compensate the missing volume by inflating the balloons and avoid mixing wines from several tanks. They can also ensure total immersion of the marc cap and extend the maceration away from oxidation.<\/p>\n<p>Vinifair now offers different forms of inflatable wine balloons. Each of them is adapted to the complex shapes of wine tanks. We can find :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">Donuts<\/span><\/strong>, toroidal, for tanks with a central chimney,<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>Donuts open<\/strong><\/span> in the form of &#8220;Horseshoe&#8221;, for centered troughs and flags,<\/li>\n<li>the<strong><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"> parallelepiped shapes<\/span><\/strong>, etc\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this specific case, the inflatable compensators were made of <strong><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">polyurethane<\/span><\/strong>. This waterproof material has <span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\"><strong>food properties<\/strong><\/span> and does not affect the quality of wine or other liquids. This innovative system is completely <strong><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">autonomous<\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #00a7e1;\">comes with its pressure regulation unit<\/span><\/strong>. The inflation and deflation of the wine-making balloons follow each other according to the variation in the volume of the wine. These actions are also linked to the different stages of winemaking.
