If you did not know, let us remind you that PRONAL has a subsidiary in Malaysia! And yes, we have a 65% export activity, so we have to be present internationally! As a reminder, we also have offices in the United States and Portugal!

All this to let you know that our employees in Malaysia have followed a project requested by the Malaysian army: mobile water treatment plants!

NEEDS IN MALAYSIA

For many years, the peninsula of Malaysia has been suffering from heavy floods. Those can last for months: from November to March in general.

As a result, thousands of inhabitants have to be evacuated. It is then the civil security, the firemen and the army who help the population to move.

The Malaysian population affected by these floods is then evacuated and placed in public places, gymnasiums, etc…

However, these places are not equipped to welcome so many people. An essential resource is missing: drinking water.

But how can they have access to this resource for a limited time?

The Malaysian army then launched an appeal: they need mobile water treatment plants. These must be mobile so that they can move them without constraints.

MOBILE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS: A TAILOR MADE SOLUTION BY PRONAL

The Malaysian Army asked for a tailor-made solution. Because Pronal has its own design office, we were able to meet their expectations, criteria and technical specifications.

We supplied mini water treatment plants on a trailer. This allows them to be mobile and moved without maintenance.

Moreover, these mobile water treatment plants will allow thousands of people to be hydrated. Therefore, they need a large filtration capacity. We have provided them with stations with a filtration system of 5000 liters of water per hour.

Let us explain the system to you:

  • The filtered water comes from rivers, ponds and flooded water.
  • Upstream of the water treatment plant, at the end of a 25m long pipe, there is a nozzle that acts as a pre-filter. This one allows you to avoid swallowing all the big waste (plastics, twigs, dead leaves etc…)
  • It then passes through our filtration system. In order to distribute a clear and drinkable water, it passes through 3 levels of filtration (200 MICRON, 50 MICRON, 0.015µm).
  • When the water is finally drinkable, it is distributed to the population and stored in tanks intended for drinking water.

Obviously, many tests have been carried out to ensure the potability of the water:

CONCLUSION ON OUR SOLUTION

Our mobile water treatment plants will be very useful for the Malaysian population in the next complicated months they will live.

We have provided the Malaysian army with tailor-made and turnkey solutions.

We wish the Malaysian people, victims of these natural disasters, all the best.

These water treatment plants can also be used on construction sites, etc…
