In this context, Pronal works in partnership with Protecta Solutions, a specialist in the installation of environmental protection systems. This collaboration enables the deployment of high-performance systems designed to prevent the spread of pollutants in stormwater or wastewater networks, particularly in emergency situations such as fires or accidental spills of hazardous substances.
Pronal emergency pipe plugs
The emergency pipe plugs developed by Pronal are specifically designed to ensure the rapid sealing of pipelines in the event of accidental pollution.
Installed directly inside the pipeline, these devices remain folded in the upper part of the pipe during normal operation, allowing water to flow freely without disrupting the operation of the network.
In the event of an incident, the plug is inflated with compressed air, causing it to expand until it perfectly conforms to the walls of the pipeline. The pipe is then sealed, preventing polluted water from spreading through the network.
This solution therefore makes it possible to contain firefighting water or polluted effluents, which can then be recovered and treated appropriately.
