The Nordseecluster project, located in the North Sea, aims to connect several offshore wind farms to the onshore power grid in order to produce sustainable, decarbonized energy. For this mission, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, experts in shipbuilding and offshore construction based in Saint-Nazaire, designed and assembled the electrical substation.
Subjected to significant mechanical, hydrodynamic, and corrosive stresses, the structure must ensure perfect sealing between the foundation piles and the platform. This technical challenge was successfully met thanks to Pronal’s expertise in designing tailor-made sealing solutions.
