Bladder Rupture Relay- BRR
The Bladder Rupture Relay (BRR) is associated with the STP rubber bag transformer. It is an intelligent system capable of detecting any abnormal liquid present in the preservative membrane. For example, it can detect oil in case of leakage or condensation due to a dryer problem.
The system consists of :
- an optical sensor,
- a connection box,
- and an LED control unit.
First, the optical sensor is placed in the compensator, through the flange. The installation can be done during the assembly or during a maintenance operation. The connection box is used to connect the sensor to the external control unit installed in the transformer’s electrical panel.
Equipped with two leds, the control unit allows a permanent visual monitoring. The red LED indicates the anomaly, the green LED indicates the normal situation. Thus, the BRR Bladder Rupture Relay avoids unnecessary maintenance costs and time.
