Fuel Bladder – Additional bladder tank

In aeronautics, every kilogram saved and every centimeter gained can make a difference. Whether it’s about improving autonomy, optimizing space, or reducing weight, every detail matters. That’s why Pronal has developed an Fuel Bladder. This adaptable system integrates directly into civil or military aircraft and offers a compelling alternative to traditional rigid solutions.

Specifically designed to meet the needs of manufacturers, integrators, or maintenance workshops, this tank adjusts to each aircraft while complying with the strictest safety and performance standards. Thanks to its flexible and durable structure, it delivers a reliable and custom solution—even in complex spaces.

A concrete answer to the need for autonomy

Let’s take a practical example that perfectly illustrates the value of this solution. A light aircraft manufacturer wanted to increase the flight time of one of its models without altering the aircraft’s structure. The goal was to use unused space in the fuselage to add a fuel reserve.

To achieve this, Pronal designed a custom-made tank. It fits precisely within the available space, preserving the aircraft’s balance. The result speaks for itself : greater autonomy, no structural modifications, and seamless integration. Moreover, the system remains compliant with current aviation standards.

This project was showcased at the Paris Air Show (Salon du Bourget), one of the industry’s major events. It highlights the growing interest in flexible, fuel bladder storage solutions within aviation.

A high-potential solution

Over the long term, this type of tank paves the way for numerous applications. It can be adapted to other civil or military aircraft for extended or specific missions. Lightweight, flexible, and safe, this product stands as a true innovation.
